Free FAA A&P General Practice Test
60 questions in 2 hours, like the real AMG test. Every question is written from the FAA's own handbook and tagged with its ACS code, the same codes the FAA prints on your test report, so a missed code points straight to the right drill.

Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
The full 60-question mock exam, the daily quiz, flashcards, subject drills, study guides and your dashboard are free with no account and no card. Pro unlocks the rest of the question bank and the other full-length exams.
Do I need an account?
Not for anything free. The mock exam, daily quiz, flashcards, domain drills, study guides and your dashboard all work with no signup, and your progress saves to this device on its own. Buying a pass does need one — it is what gives your access back on a new phone or after a cleared browser, and it syncs your progress across devices.
Is the FAA test available in Spanish?
No. The FAA knowledge test is in English, and 14 CFR 65.71 requires a mechanic to read, write, speak and understand English. Every question here is in English as the test asks it, with a full Spanish version and Spanish explanations, for bilingual candidates who learn a concept faster in Spanish and then answer it in English.
What do the ACS codes mean?
The FAA's Airman Certification Standards give every knowledge item a code, such as AM.I.C.K4 for weight and balance calculations. Your FAA test report lists the codes of the questions you missed. Every question here carries its code, so you can drill exactly the items your report names.
Does this replace my school or my experience?
No. To take the tests you need either a certificated Part 147 school's authenticated document or documented practical experience (18 months for one rating, 30 months for both), under 14 CFR 65.77. This site is practice for the General written test, alongside that.
